  1. Hi, Aisha, I’m the convener for our “Traditional Appalachian Musics” Session at the Appalachian Studies Conference. I feel very privileged to share a stage with you. I’m in the process of finding out what being convener entails (I imagine that I introduce the group and do the advance logistics). Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
    See you in Blacksburg,

  2. Hello Aisha! My name is Edna Meisel. I am an FSU alumni; graduated in 1980. I am from West Virginia and play banjo in an old time string band. I also work at Marshall University (home of the Appalachian Studies Association). With all that introduction aside, I am curious about how to contact you next time I am in Tallahassee, FL, for my college reunions. I would love to visit with you and the whole FSU Old Time Ensemble and hopefully play a few tunes with you! One more thing… Have you ever attended the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, WV?
